Meadow and woodland

camping

It's the perfect mix. Long grass, wild flowers, the breeze through the trees and the murmur of waves on the shore.   The meadow is where the camping adventure really began in 2017, but this year we will have up to 6 camping pitches available from June 12th in the magical woods.

Remember the good old days when camping meant, a field, a tap for water and one bog-standard outdoor toilet for the whole site?  We do encourage you to get back to basics, but it's not for everyone, so our shared facilities in the shed are not far to walk from the meadow or the woodland. Inside you'll find the common area, fridge/freezer electric showers, toilets and washing up area. 

Meadow

We have up to 6 spacious pitches in our camping field. Each pitch enjoys a fantastic view and a picnic table. We encourage you to have camp fires and include the first bag of firewood on your arrival. What is camping under the stars without a campfire?

There is a compost toilet and gas shower by the pitches, serviced daily, and a tap for fresh drinking water.

Woodland

Blessed with 20 acres of coastal woodland, by June 12th we will be offering up to 6 pitches in the woodland clearings. Following a gentle sloping path into the valley, these pitches offer a more sheltered position, but still benefiting from that gorgeous view.

The woods provide the perfect chance for you to relax and enjoy the calming effects of nature. Much of the habitat has been left undisturbed for many years and we encourage you to share any wildlife sightings in our book especially for that purpose as we build up a picture of exactly what species fill this rich ecosystem.

Wheelbarrows to Pitches

We enjoy being a car-free campsite, which means there are no excuses...you've got to use your legs to get about!

After arriving and reporting to the house, you'll need to leave your car in the carpark and use the wheelbarrows provided to move your tent and gear to the pitch. 

There's no need to be in a rush. This is time for you to slow down and reconnect with each other. That's what holidays are for, of course!
