Camping at Bôn
In the sunny cwtch of our woods, or the long grass of the meadow,
Memories are made here…
Meadow Clearings
Each pitch in the meadow has it’s own:
- private eco loo, hot shower and undercover washing up sink situated next to the pitch.
- picnic table
- fire pit
There are 5 generous flat clearings in the meadow, so depending on your tent size, you can fit more than one tent on each pitch.
From the meadow, you can enjoy the majestic view of the sun setting over the Brandy Brook valley.
We keep the grass short on the pitch, but we allow the wildflowers and grasses to grow around you. This has encouraged a great amount of wildlife and plant life, so you can observe what birds and animals live there.
At night, you can hear the sound of the sea lapping the shore…it’s not far away at all!
Woodland Clearings
Each pitch in the woods has it’s own:
- private eco loo, hot shower and undercover washing up sink situated next to the pitch.
- picnic table
- fire pit
We have 20 acres of wild woods for you to explore and enjoy. In the shelter of the woods you can hear a mixture of bird song, the breeze in the trees and the murmur of waves on the shore.
We have 5 clearings in the woods, spaced far apart so there’s no sense of being on top of each other. There are some pitches more secluded than others, so get in touch if you really want to be camping out in the wild woods.
This is the perfect chance for the whole family to enjoy the freedom of the woods. The perfect chance for you to relax and enjoy the calming effects of nature. Much of the habitat has been left undisturbed for many years and we encourage you to share any wildlife sightings in our book especially for that purpose as we build up a picture of exactly what species fill this rich ecosystem.
Moon and Stars
When the moon is at its fullest and the sound of the surf is rolling up the valley, it is somehow easy to feel in touch with the mystery of it all. And when the moon is dark, the skies are brightly covered with a blanket of stars.
With so little local light pollution, it is very easy on a clear night to see the milky way whilst sitting around the warmth of a campfire.
A torch is a good idea, but why not give your eyes a chance to get accustomed to the dark before you decide to switch it on!
“star gazing with a crackling fire.…Thank you for creating such a perfect haven...”
