…Low Impact Camping

So far as possible we want to live in harmony with the wildlife that shares our life here. We see ourselves as temporary stewards of this place – and a key part of our habitat management plan is to secure it for wildlife and make any changes slowly, and only when we have studied what is already here.

WHEEL BARROWS TO PITCH

We have a policy of no cars on site, so when you arrive, we provide wheel barrows to load up and take your gear to your pitch. If you are camping in the woods, this is a down hill journey from the car. If you are camping in the meadow, this will be a small uphill push. But believe me, all the effort is worth it. Don’t take it from us…read camper testimonials.

ECO PRODUCTS

We provide eco shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and washing up liquid. We ask politely that you only use eco products during your stay.

In the main shed, we have freezers and fridges and place to charge your phones.

CAR-FREE and no dogs allowed to stay

WOOD FOR FIRES & OTHER THINGS

  • Wood is £7 a tub.

  • Fire pits are dug into the ground.

  • Picnic tables are on every pitch.

And, we have two kayaks for you to borrow at no extra cost, available on a first come, first serve basis.…make sure you have a means of transporting them!

LESS THAN A 10 MINUTE WALK FROM YOUR PITCH…

We are less than a 10 minute walk from super friendly pub, the Victoria Inn. It has it’s own micro brewery, which pours a first rate cold pint of real ale. It also serves good pub grub, with a good atmosphere in the Summer months.

Opposite the pub is a children’s playground and tennis court. The post office and shop for basic groceries can be found at the centre of the village.

WALK TO THE BEACH

Walk to Newgale following the National Trust path to the beach. Takes approx. 35 minutes.
